Ruptured Cerebral Aneurysm in Pregnancy

Abstract
|

|
A 23 year old woman in the 9th month of pregnancy was operated upon for a ruptured cerebral aneurysm.
Intracranial bleeding associated with aneurysm in a female patient whore near-term pregnancy was complicated by systemic arterial hypertension required consideration of several factors important to .he survival of both the mother and fetus.
A report was represented in which sodium nitroprusside was administered to achieve effective controlled hypotension during craniotomy for the clipping of the cerebral aneurysm.
The various physiological aspects and the action of sodium nitroprusside or, both mother and fetus was discussed.
